EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  •  Knowledge of appropriate cleaning chemicals to use on equipment
  • Ability to work various shifts to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to operate a forklift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reads and follows specifications to assist in the preparation of dough.
  • Assists the Press Operator in charge of dies.
  • Assists in operating the computerized panel for dough mixer.
  • Assists in taking the samples of product and checking the moisture in the pasta.
  • Responsible for food safety, food quality and food defense.
  • Performs cosmetic as well as internal cleaning of equipment and the area on a regular basis.
  • Meets the requirements of HACCP, BRC, and FSMA.
  • Practices and observes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are sanitary and orderly on a daily basis.
  • Practices safe and secure environment, reporting to a supervisor any observed issues (i.e. food safety, physical safety, environment, equipment).

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Unload pasta to regrind if needed.
  • Weigh and manage the wet waste container.
  • Cosmetic cleaning as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
