SCREWS WITH SERRANO HAM AND PEAS

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 L of water
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 200 g of Screw La Moderna®
  • 1 cup of low-fat cream
  • 1/2 cup of skimmed milk
  • 1/4 cup of low-fat Manchego cheese, grated
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups of blanched peas
  • 120 g of Serrano ham, rolled up
  • A pinch of salt and black pepper
  • Parsley leaves

PREPARATION

  1. Heat the water with salt in a high pot until boiling.
  2. Immediately add the Screw La Moderna® pasta and cook until al dente.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Heat the cream and milk in a semi-deep pan until it boils.
  5. Add the pasta to the pan, stir well, and cook until the pasta absorbs part of the sauce.
  6. Add the cheese, pepper, and peas, mix allowing the cheese to melt.
  7. Remove from heat and incorporate the Serrano ham and parsley leaves.
  8. Enjoy immediately.
