• 200 g of La Moderna® Gears pasta.
  • 3 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
  • 1/4 finely chopped onion.
  • 200 g of Nile whitefish or similar, in large cubes.
  • 1/4 cup of corn kernels.
  • 2 small diced carrots.
  • 1/2 small diced potato (with skin).
  • 1 small diced zucchini.
  • 1 small diced celery stalk.
  • 5 1/2 cups of unsalted vegetable broth.
  • A pinch of salt and pepper.
  • 2 sprigs of thyme.
  • 2 bay leaves.


  1. Heat the oil for a minute in a pot over high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté the onion.
  3. Add the corn kernels and stir until they turn golden brown.
  4. 4Add the carrots and potato, stir occasionally for two minutes to soften.
  5. Add the zucchini and celery and cook for one more minute.
  6. Pour in the broth, reduce the heat and season with salt, pepper, thyme and bay leaves.
  7. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. In a separate pan, lightly brown the La Moderna® Gears pasta with a tablespoon of oil.
  9. Add the La Moderna® Engrane pasta to the pot and cook for another eight minutes over high heat.
  10. Add the fish cubes halfway through the pasta cooking time and cook until they change color and become firm.
  11. Serve the hot soup and enjoy immediately.
